Hot Pepper Wax
Animal Repellent or Insect Repellent

This natural, non-chemical formula effectively repels insects and animals away from your garden, shrubs and trees without harmful chemicals. Spray on the heat with this capsaicin-based repellent. Hot Pepper Wax is made from a concentrate of Cayenne peppers, assorted repelling herbs and food grade paraffin wax. Simply mix with water and spray. The patented formula stays on the plant up to three weeks, saving you the bother and expense of applying after every rainfall or watering. This natural wax also offers protection to plants from hot, dry and windy conditions. Food plants do not absorb the heat of the pepper and the wax washes off easily with warm water.

Hot Pepper Wax Animal Repellent is recommended for rabbits and tree squirrels only, according to the label. However, customer testimonials indicate that, in many cases, Hot Pepper Wax effectively repels many mammals from nibbling on treated plants, including dogs and cats. While Hot Pepper Wax has shown short-term effect as a deer repellent, it is not recommended as a long-term repellent. Deer are highly adaptable to changes in their environment. Most practicioners of Integrated Pest Management recommend a variety of control tactics applied in combination or on a rotating basis.

Hot Pepper Wax Insect Repellent will help keep aphids, spider mites, thrips, whitefly, lace bugs, leafhoppers, and many other pests away from your fruit and vegetable crops.

For effective control, spray every surface of the plant, especially the undersides of leaves where insects hide. After spraying, allow about 12 hours for the micro-thin liquified wax to set. As it sets, the wax loses its hazy white color and becomes transparent.
