Tanglefoot Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Bands

Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Bands prevent crawling insects from ascending trees, shrubs, vines and woody plants. Tanglefoot Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Bands are adjustable to any size tree. The are effective, easy to use and will provide 24 hours a day.

Direction to use:
Determine the size and number of trees to be banded. Each Tanglefoot Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band is 12 in. (30 cm) in length and will fit a 3 in. (8 cm) diameter tree.

For smaller diameter trees, 3 in. (8 cm) or less, cut the length needed with scissors allowing a 1 in. (2.5 cm) overlap.

For larger diameter trees, link two or more Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Bands together. Allow a 1 in. (2.5 cm) overlap.

To prevent insects from crawling under the Tanglefoot Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band, use the enclosed foam strip. Peel the release paper and place the sticky side of the foam to the trunk, pushing the foam into the bark crevices. Cut the foam to diameter of tree.

Peel the protective paper off the back of the Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band and apply to the top of the foam. Snug the Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band around the trunk.

Option:
Tape fasteners (enclosed) can be used for additional holding power on the uncoated side of the band.

Applications:
The most common crawling insects include ants, gypsy moths, spring and fall cankerworms, pecan weevils, codling moths and other crawling insects. The Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band can be used to keep ants from hummingbird feeders without harming wildlife.

Replace Tanglefoot Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Band when full of insects. Remove at end of insect season or when full. Dispose of bands in household trash. Use vegetable oil or baby oil to remove any sticky from hands.
