A herbicide called Pathway by Dow Chemicals is being sprayed on tree stumps after NES trims and removes trees. It should not be used near water. NES workers should wear long sleeves, pants and eye protection when applying it.

See the Material Data Safety Sheet for Pathway (click here).

On June 13, 2005, we received a call reporting that NES sprayed this herbicide into a creek. It was also reported that a dog in the neighborhood wasn't acting right after some of this chemical had been used and died 2 days later. They are getting toxicity tests done on the dog and the water poisoning is being investigated. When we know the results of the tests, we will post them.
