Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth has been effectively used to repel adult flies and control flies at the larval stage. Use duster to apply directly to livestock or problem areas, and use as a feed-thru mixed with livestock feed @ 1-2% by weight, or allow animals to free-feed on DE. This form of fly control has been reported to be effective in many situations. Poultry and exotic bird producers have reported this alternative method of fly control to be extremely effective. In some cases, DE is all they use for fly control.
